Episode 177: 3 Reasons You’re Still Talking to Clients You’ve Outgrown
Apr 28, 2025Have you ever finished a client call and thought, “Why am I still having this conversation?” You know you've grown, your offers have evolved, and your vision has expanded… but somehow, your clients haven’t caught up.
I’ve been there — more than once. In fact, this week’s podcast episode was inspired by a wave of applications I received for my new live coaching format. As I read through them, I noticed a pattern: brilliant women feeling stuck in conversations and containers that no longer serve their growth.
So in this episode, I’m pulling back the curtain and sharing three powerful reasons why you may still be talking to clients you’ve outgrown — and how to shift out of that energy and into your next level.
In This Episode, I Cover:
-
Why you’re still explaining the basics to advanced clients ([02:30])
You're operating at a higher level — but your content and messaging might not reflect that. -
How your offers may be designed to validate a past version of yourself ([06:50])
Just because it once felt powerful doesn’t mean it still aligns. -
The truth about posting to feel safe and convince the wrong people ([11:45])
Convincing energy attracts the wrong audience — let’s shift that.
Let’s Talk About Why You’re Still Explaining the Basics
Here’s the truth: you’ve evolved, but your content hasn’t.
When you first started, you met your audience where they were. You taught them how to get their first client, make their first $10K, or post their first piece of content. But now? You're making $50K, $100K, or even $500K months. You're having million-dollar conversations — yet you’re still creating beginner-level content out of habit.
🔑 Takeaway:
Audit your messaging. Is it speaking to the woman you want to coach now, or the version of her from years ago? Don’t be afraid to raise the bar — your dream clients are already there.
You’ve Built Offers to Validate a Past You
Here’s a big one: many of us design our programs, masterminds, or pricing structures to prove something to a past version of ourselves.
Yes, you can sell out a $5K offer to 12 clients. But how does it actually feel when you hold that space? Energizing — or draining?
In my own business, I had to ask: "Am I making offers because they serve my highest self, or because they made my past self feel powerful?"
So I made a massive shift: From “application-only” to “invitation-only.”
Now, the only way to get into my mastermind or 1:1 is by joining the Rich Woman’s Room, showing up fully, and getting a “rose” (yes, Bachelor-style 🌹).
🔑 Takeaway:
Design containers that match your current energetic standards. Let go of what no longer aligns, no matter how well it worked in the past.
You’re Still Posting Like You’re Convincing People
This one hit me hard.
I used to say, “No question is stupid, just be willing!” But the truth is… there are questions that just aren’t aligned anymore. If someone’s asking how to find their first client, they’re not ready to create a $50K offer. And that’s okay — it just means they’re not your client.
When you post to feel safe or get validation, you're inviting the wrong energy into your business. You end up attracting people who drain you, and honestly? It’s not fair to them, either.
🔑 Takeaway:
Stop convincing. Start curating.
Your energy is sacred. Let your content reflect the standards of your next level.
Final Thoughts: Step Into Your Next Level (Even When It’s Uncomfortable)
If this episode felt like a mirror — you’re not alone. Outgrowing your clients, your content, and even your business model is a natural and necessary part of scaling.
Here’s what I want you to remember:
-
Audit your content and messaging — is it still aligned with your next-level self?
-
Design offers from your future, not your past.
-
Lead with certainty, not convincing energy.
Ready to step into your next-level identity?
